1979年3月慶應義塾大学工学部機械学科修士課程修了、同年4月三菱商事株式会社に入社。 1986年6月米国MIT Sloan School 経営学修士課程修了。 2002年5月米系ソフト会社i2テクノロジーズ・ジャパン株式会社 代表取締役社長就任。大手企業のSCM業務改革に取り組む。 2007年4月株式会社ローソンに入社、同年7月CIOに就任。ITシステム投資を担当するとともに、次世代ITシステムローソン3.0を活用した全社業務改革「PRiSM」を推進中である。

Yoichi Yokomizo joined Lawson, Inc. in 2007. Yokomizo is Executive Vice President & CIO, managing about US$300M IT annual expenditures at the second largest convenience store chain franchise company. He is currently responsible for the next generation of IT infrastructure, named Lawson 3.0 with the initial investment budget of US$500M and leading the company-wide customer-driven process innovation, named PRiSM. Before joining Lawson, Yokomizo was President & CEO, i2 Technologies Japan Inc. for five years. At i2, he was successfully working with major clients, including Panasonic, Toshiba, NEC, and JFE steels, for their SCM process innovation.
Before i2, he worked for Mitsubishi Corporation for 23 years, which is the largest sogo-shosha (general trading company), where he accomplished a series of significant IT business initiatives Ex SSJ President, Current MIT-J President
