The Requirement
Graduating Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD students or recent graduates with a degree in
EE, MechE, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or ChemE are preferred. The successful
candidate will be an independent thinker with a proven ability to innovate and excel in a team
environment. Responsibilities to include setting up and running experiments, collecting and
analyzing data, as well as some amount of wafer and cell processing. Experience in mechanical,
electrical or electronic assembly, machining, and/or wet chemistry preferred. Demonstrated
hands-on ability necessary; e.g. internships, lab courses, co-ops, club activities. You should be
able to communicate clearly, make decisions, focus on details without losing sight of the big
picture, and work as a passionate part of a team. Fluency in both Japanese and English are a
requirement, as is a willingness to travel to Asia. Requirements for education and experience are
flexible; an outstanding engineer at any level could be a good fit.
